WILL NEWS ON SOCIAL MEDIA PROVE ANOTHER DAUNTING CHALLENGE FOR MAIN STREAM ENGLISH TV NEWS CHANNELS.

In view of the aforesaid reasons, we are of theopinion that the impugned judgment passed by the HighCourt of Andhra Pradesh in rejecting the petitions forquashing the initiation of criminal proceedings againstthe appellants under Section 482 of the Cr.P.C. isperfectly legal and valid, the same does not call forinterference by this Court in exercise of its appellatejurisdiction as there is no substantial question of lawframed in the appeals nor is there any miscarriage ofjustice for the appellants to interfere with at thisstage. In our considered view, having regard to thenature of the complaint, the respondents are requiredto prove the allegations against the appellants byadducing valid and cogent evidence, the same has to beconsidered by the trial court and accordingly recordPage 40 Crl. A. No. 857 of 2012 40the findings on the merits of the case. The appealsare devoid of merit, liable to be dismissed and areaccordingly dismissed. The orders granting stay offurther proceedings before the trial court shall standvacated.

Through the cacophony of noises I was able to deciphertwo main reasons for the ‘intellectual tantrums’. Sahitya Akademi is spinelessand did not condemn the killing of MM Kalburgi who was a Sahitya Akademiwinner. Before him two other rationalists Narendra Dabholkar and Govind Pansarewere shot dead brutally and the Akademi did not speak up for either of them. The second reason was the murder of Mohammad Akhlaq who was killed merely on arumor that he had either indulged in cow slaughter or eaten beef. Whatever thecatalyst for returning the awards, all these Award returnees converge on thepresent government being instrumental in quelling dissent and free speech.  If an alien were air dropped in India today, he would think before May 2014, India was aland of milk and honey, there were no communal riots, love and harmony
wasoverflowing and we lived in some kind of utopian existence

Mumbai: Amazon Inc's India business has quadrupled in 2015 over the previous year as customers and sellers have risen more than threefold, helped by a similar surge in "fulfillment capacity" as online shopping gathers momentum across the country."Active customer accounts are up 230% year-over-year. We are in the middle of the Diwali season that is going really well," Brian Olsavsky, chief financial officer at Seattle-based Amazon, said on an investor call, the first time that these numbers have been made public. "The number of sellers has grown more than 250% year-over-year. Sales are 4x what they were last year."The Indian unit of the world's largest consumer marketplace has been adding products at a rate of 40,000 per day this year with 90% of sellers using its logistics and warehousing services.

If the Indian judiciary, the highest to the lowest, pursued any one relentlessly for a decade, it was Narendra Modi. The Supreme Court instituted a Special Investigation Team [SIT] to investigate riot cases, brought in the CBI to probe the Sohrabuddin and Ishrat Jahan cases, choosing just the two out of hundreds of encounters throughout the country. While the SIT did an honest job, the CBI did a thoroughly dishonest probe under the very nose of the Supreme Court. In August 2011, The New Indian Express carried three explosive articles [“Sohrabuddin: Interrogating the Media”; “Fixing Shah, by Fabrication”; and “How CBI Betrayed Court to Save Congress”], exposing how the CBI was dishonestly using the Supreme Court’s clout to fix Amit Shah and if possible Modi himself. The New Indian Express articles established how the CBI was lying on affidavit and orally to the court contrary to the evidence it had procured. The final sentences of the concluding article of The New Indian Express were: “This is not the epilogue. Only an honest and independent judiciary can write an epilogue to this perfidy.” This short conclusion tells what volumes cannot.

Need for Men's Rights | Amit Deshpande | TEDxJuhu

New Delhi: After the controversy surrounding Haryana Chief MinisterManohar Lal Khattar’s statement that ‘Muslims can live in India but they will have to give up eating beef’, the BJP leader clarified that he was 'misquoted and twisted by the Indian Express'.
Later in the day the daily released an audio tape of the interview where Khattar was clearly stating, “Muslim rahein, magar is desh mein beef khaana chhodna hi hoga unko. Yahan ki manyata hai gau (Muslims can continue to live here, but they will have to give up eating beef. The cow is an article of faith here)."
Here is an excerpt from the interview which has been uploaded on Indian Express YouTube channel:
Indian Express: Just now you said that there are certain things in which this country has to take pride. Saraswati is one of them, Gau raksha, Geeta, Kurushetra are few others. The country has changed a lot, we are now a plural country… all these are symbol of Hindu religion. Don’t you think these all are polarising symbol? BJP is being criticised for following communal agency.
ML Khattar: Those criticising us are unable to understand the depth of the issue. We talk about gau raksha. I recently visited Mewat, people there are culturally Muslim. But they have love for cow. They also took pledge of not eating beef. In Assembly, we have passed a bill on gau rakhsha and everybody took pledge. All three MLAs of Mewat were part of that Assembly and they said that ‘even our ancestors used to worship cow’. They also voiced their support to gau rakhsha.

IE: How do you see the Dadri lynching?
Khattar: This incident was a result of misunderstanding. It should not have taken place from both sides. The victim shouldn’t have made ‘halki tippani’ (low comment) about cow. This country will not allow beef.
IE: Some percentage of this country is Muslim, they eat beef, and Christians eat beef.
Khattar: Muslims can continue to live, but they will have to stop eating beef. The cow is an article of faith here (Muslim rahein, magar is desh mein beef khaana chhodna hi hoga. Yahan ki manyata hai gau). They can be Muslim even after they stop eating beef, can’t they? (gau maans chhod kar bhi to Muslim reh sakte hai na). It is written nowhere that Muslims have to eat beef, not is it written anywhere in Christianity that they have to eat beef. Culturally, we are democratic. Democracy has freedoms, but those freedoms have a limitation. Freedom of one person is only to the extent that it is not hurting another person.
IE: But don’t you think these are constitutionally guaranteed individual’s freedom that what you eat, what you wear.
Khattar: You can’t hurt the sentiments of another community even constitutionally you can’t do this.
IE: Do you think this is attack on individual’s liberty?
Khattar: Liberty is always guarded. There is no unlimited liberty. For ex: because of me if someone is getting offended, should I have the liberty?
IE: It is not constitutionally that you can’t kill cows.
Khattar: The Constitution says you cannot do something that offends me, I cannot do something that offends you. We should respect each. Why to do such things when you can live without doing that particular work… which hurt other people sentiment.
